Don't get me wrong. I love Kinokuniya very much but I love my wallet more. Yes the typical Chinese in me is irresistible to cheap cheap buys like these. I nearly went out of control buying books when I was in the shop. Thank goodness I only had limited amount of time to browse as they were closing or I might just come out with a trolley filled to the brim with books.
These are the books that I got.
Both of these books only cost under RM 40 total! That's equivalent of an average one paperback from Kinokuniya! This place may not have all the books out there but its got a fairshare of books. There's no delivery service so you'll have to go to the shop located in Ampcorp Mall to buy the books. But do check their website for their booklisting.

I am gonna miss this place.
I didn't get much from the sales actually. I only got a pair of jeans (unexpected but it was too gorgeous to not buy it.) and a belt to match from Seed. I love this pair of jeans a lot cause it is super low cut, lovely colour and fits me perfectly. I love the red stripe on the belt and the buckle is really nice too. Cute Seed guy was there and we spoke. *gasp I nearly fainted when he opened his mouth.

Here is a cutie cashier. So sweet, funny and well mannered.
I was looking for shirts but I couldn't find a perfect fitting shirt. I can wear the shirts from Seed, which are dem fitting but not too fitting to reveal much of my flaws. Just that its a little uncomfortable wearing it even though I look absolutely fabulous in them. I shall lose more weight. Till then, no Seed shirt for me just yet.
Polo shirts are still obscenely expensive...
With no shirts in my shopping bags, I proceeded to Kinokuniya to buy some more books to stock up. I'm running out of books to read. So I got these two books, Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami and The Little Prince by Antoine Exupery.

Out of the blue, the other day mom said, "Lets get you a pair of runners. I'm thinking Friday after work". *blink blink I said sure and asked no further questions. No way I was going to complain about spending when mom offered. I decided that we should get my runners in Studio R, KLCC, hoping that I would get the same model runners from New Balance that I tried few months back and get a good buy from the sale.

I got a pair from New Balance but I don't know if it's the same one that I tried. No matter, its really light and comfortable to wear. My sore feet instantly re-energised after trying it. Great support and soft on my heels upon impact. Love the shoe so much. Now I can start shedding those "stored energy" in me. Got 20% off RM289.00 and also a one month VIP pass to CNergy Fitness. Awesome but pity I can't use the VIP pass. Anyone wants it? Its up for grabs to anyone here.

Since Kinokuniya was just next door, I dragged my mom in with me. I wasn't really searching for a particular book but I felt like shopping for books (I can hear Paul sneering at me already...). I eventually settled for The God Delusion and The Velvet Rage. Cost me RM 96.00. Seriously, how does the Government expects its citizens to be well educated with book prices so high... Tax relief? WTF am I suppose to do with tax relief?... I'm a freaking student...
Two more books added into my little library.
Anyhow, I met an elderly man named George while I browsing for books. I wanted to see what the fuss is about The God Delusion, everyone seems to be reading it. I found where the book was and just read the reviews. Looked interesting enough but I wasn't sure if RM 42.00 was worth it and George happened to be reading it there. I asked him how it was thus far and just with that, we were talking about a myriad of topics ranging from the books he's read to our lovely government. He was really kind in sharing what his knowledge to me even though I'm just a stranger asking him how the book was.
You'd think I'd be satisfied with all the shopping that I have done so far but I'm still craving to shop for more things. I don't know why. I have this unsatisfied impulse to shop in me. Must be the Government sending subliminal messages asking me to shop more or it's just my period coming along... *shrugs
I'm still thinking of the pink shirt from Zara... I'm going to try it on one day and take a picture of it in the changing room. If I can't buy it, I'll have a picture of it on me. Heheheh. A nifty trick I learned from slender faghag.
Curious thing happened on the way back from KLCC after the shopping spree. There was a guy and a girl in the LRT. The girl was hugging the somewhat good looking guy, marginally my type sort. Upon exiting the LRT, I caught him looking at me and I looked back. He gave me a grin while maintaining eye contact. I grinned back and walked passed him. Never encountered that before but it felt nice.

This book is truly amazing. It reminds me why back in high school I love science so much. Back then, everything about science triggers a sensation of curiosity and fascination. I just love science though I hate physics... I can't get a proper grasp on physics. Not then, not now.
I remembered during a class of biology, we had to prick our fingers to extract blood cells to see the structure of it. I was so in awe when I saw the cells that I got curious what else would look like under a microscope. Calvin, CK and I got curious one day talking about how does sperms actually look like. The next day came and CK brought a bottle filled with his fresh ejaculation (I'm a bad influence it seems)... Though we didn't get to see it cause I didn't wanna be the one asking, "Teacher, may we use the microscope so we can examine CK's cum?"
This book is indeed as John Waller from Guardian reviewed, "Truly impressive... it's hard to imagine a better rough guide to science".
Its a breeze reading the book. Bill Bryson wrote the book in such a way that people with minimal science background would be able to understand what he's saying. He made Quantum Physics like its an elementary school subject though its not Quantum Physics 101.
As what the title indicates, it is essentially a short history of nearly everything. The book starts from the Big Bang Theory, cruise through the age of dinosaurs, to a close examine of the Earth, a microscopic look of ourselves and end in the modern era which is now. Its truly is an engaging book to read and keeps the mind fascinated with facts of science we don't know.

I just got this book from a friend of mine last Friday. I have Tuesday's With Morrie and he wanted to read it so we swapped books. Only read the book yesterday morning on the way to work and I must say, its a great book though sad that the book began with death.
I say this book came on the right time for me due to the recent drama and in some strange ways, it creeps up in the most unexpected time.
All endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time...
How true... Though I wish I'm in the beginning of things to come right now. How depressing.
The only time we waste [life] is the time we spend thinking we are alone.
I really must snap out of this. Dem it... This roller coaster ain't over yet for me. If only I can find the emergency stop button on this ride.

When out again today with my ex but this time in KLCC. I didn't want to go out today actually but I just want to go out and think if I would like to get my left ear pierced. I've been thinking about it since Thursday actually when la faghag and I were in KLCC. According to her, getting contacts opened a whole new realm of changing my image. Hhehe.
I tried on my first aviators in Philosophy just to see how I would look like and then the next thing I know, she told me to get my ear pierced. The only thing stopping me from getting the piercing is the work environment I'm in at the moment. Engineering firm isn't exactly a place for self expression is it? So I decided to get it done after my intern and possibly do it on my right ear? I'll have to think about it.
I did buy a book in Kinokuniya when I was in KLCC. I got this book that McDave has been reading. Its something about being gay, I don't quite remember the description of it. But its for my mom to read. I just gave it to her but not sure what her expression was. Perhaps she's still in denial? I dunno. Its up to her to let reality sink in cause I ain't changing for no one.
This is the book I got but I have no idea what the title is.
My ex on the other hand, was craving for bags. I call it The La Faghag Virus. Her craving has infected my ex. Hahahah. So we went looking around for stuff and a bag in Zara caught our attention. I don't know how to describe it but its chic and professional looking sort of bag. Its so cheap too, just RM250 for a medium sized, but fairly large, bag compared to other bags like from Calvin Klein which the prize ranges from RM700++. That's just ridiculously.
Oh I finally finished The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night-Time. I absolutely adore the book. What a great read. Next I think I'll read Blink or A Short History of Nearly Everything. I think I shall sleep on it and choose tomorrow morning. Nothing like a good read while waiting for the LRT and on the way to office.
