I can't focus on anything these days. Well fine, I can't focus on studying to be specific. But you can't blame me for that. I'm as much the victim here as La Faghag, spending all her time sorting out her MP3 instead of studying while Slender Faghag's out walking to the ends of the earth. She and her random sudden urges.
See poor us.
Victims to choose which of the not quite equally important (but the others sure are more entertaining) tasks to do.
So what's distracting me from studying for my paper starting Monday?
I'll give you three guesses.
Well I posted about it few days back...
No its not porn (though I do take occasional "breaks" for that).
No not chatting online (I can multitask that).
No its not the endless marathon of tv series or movies.
Give up?
Its this crumby book (see I've even learnt a new word, crumby).
I'm about halfway through with the book and I absolutely love it. It is as what Calvin wrote. The story thus far that I can tell is, Holden Caulfield just got kick out of Pensey Prep and starts his adventure in New York City.
Very honest and teenage angst. The author doesn't censor the character's train of thoughts. Its raw and unfiltered which somehow I like. We are so used to filtering our thoughts before we speak but this non-filtering is so refreshing.
It doesn't make Caulfield a bitchy person but more of a forward, honest and no reservations sort of person. He describes the people he encountered for the kind of people they are (lots of phony people it seems) and the things they do that gets to him.
I really am enjoying the book. Such a splendid read.
I should get back to studying...
You know you love me.
XOXO
