Despite being an engineering major uni, nothing here makes any logical sense let alone engineering sense. My fucking chair broke today due to pathetic furniture design. This chair broke one cause I can see weldings at where the joints snapped.
First it was loose and shaky. The joints that supports the whole chair together was giving way. I snapped it in half with my hands. If I actually fell, I'd love a lifetime monetary support from them not to mention four pointers for my results.
Snap goes the chair.I don't get it why they chose this stupid chair design. They should go to IKEA to shop for furnitures dem it. Not those el-cheap-o ones. Who designs 90 degree joint supports design on flimsy metal chairs?!

Aiyah... chair problems. You should tell us what type of chairs the offices there are using and see if the staff have to put up witht he same idiot chairs.

It's sad that a university with an engineering focus would purchase such structurally unsound chairs!
Luckily, you didn't hurt yourself. However, if you did, then you wouldn't have to worry about money for the rest of your life! :-P
